Annette von Hehn, violin

Annette von Hehn (1978) started playing the violin at the age of four. She studied at the Juilliard School in New York with Dorothy DeLay and Itzhak Perlman and at the University of Arts in Berlin with Ilan Gronich.

In 2001 she was the top prize-winner of the ARD International Music Competition. Numerous concerts as both soloist and chamber musician take Annette von Hehn across Europe and overseas. As a soloist she has performed with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Hessian Radio Symphony Frankfurt.

With her piano trio, the ATOS Trio, founded in 2003, Annette von Hehn performs worldwide and is a regular guest at halls such as Wigmore Hall, London, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

She is professor for violin at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and professor for piano chamber music at the Accademia Perosi in Biella, Italy.
